yea a Ouija board is definitely a bad idea...that tends to send out energy in all directions and can cause more harm than good...also holy water or crosses wouldnt do much to a spirit...kuz what if the spirit was atheist or say muslim? lol you're better off with salt or iron...2 of the most commonly known methods for dealing with spirits...possibly because spiritual energy is just a type of energy humans havent figured out how to interact with or study properly yet (yes believe it or not humans dont know everything) ... personally i believe that if it's a type of energy ... salt is conductive and iron is effected by magnetics ... that may have something to do with them interfering with it or dispersing it

also...screw the ghostbusters lol call the winchesters xD they're less likely to blow up or burn down ur house

Edit - that could be something too sorrow...spiritual energy can attach to inanimate objects also

Am I the only one who doesn't believe in ghosts?

for me ghosts are just the same as every scary story ... don't use an Ouija board cuz the ghosts might get mad
or don't whisper "bloody mary" 15 times in a row in a candlelight in front of the mirror ...

(actually tried the bloody mary already ... unfortunately she didn't feel like answering my call)

I'm sure it's just something else, take your dog to the vet perhaps he just feels sick ...
and if u do come to see a ghost just say hi and ignore it ... people (or things) tend to leave when u ignore them  ;)

just because you havent experienced something doesnt mean it's not real...ive had too many experiences not to believe in them..the human body operates on large amounts of energy...and a law of physics is matter nor energy can be destroyed...ever...only dispersed or transformed...so where does that energy go when someone dies? and isnt it likely if it dispersed where they died...that it'd retain some form of their conciousness...like a faint radio signal (radio waves were also once considered a hoax or fake ;) )

only a fool discounts something outside their realm of experience as impossible

Where does the energy of my cellphone go when i throw it in the carbage bin? I know the laws of physics and I know energy doesn't disappear but I highly doubt any form of conciousness can be stored inside energy.

if the energy of someone who dies remains and holds some conciousness ... there would be ghosts everywhere we look ... quit a few people died already in all the years humanity exists ... Where did they go?

the brain usually detects what it wants to detect ... so if u go ghosthunting every sound you hear will be "special".
Every "proof" of ghosts ends up with some blurry picture or sound that if u'd play or show it outside the context of ghosts people wouldn't even think of ghosts.

When i was in Budapest and traveled to the other side of Hungary I came across a little town where there was a "ghost house" the people of the town avoided it as much as possible. Just for the fun of it me and my friends decided to visit it ... all we saw was an old stinking house ... without ghosts.

I don't believe in ghosts, why?
1. I never saw any sign that ghosts or whatever exist;
2. Simply by thinking about it logically convinces me there are no ghosts.

only a fool discounts something outside their realm of experience as impossible
... perhaps but only fools and naive people simply accept something because others believe it.

I've chosen not to believe in ghosts or spirits simply because it makes no sense to me, not because I'm a "fool" that thinks that only the visible things can exist.
If someday somehow a ghost appears to me i'll gladly appologize ... until that day I'll keep my "foolish" standpoint.

that's exactly my point tho...i have seen things...that's why i do believe...i dont believe in things ''kuz others do'' as that's also foolish...my beliefs are held due to experience...simple as that...as for "there would be ghosts everywhere we look"  there are several types of energy the human eye cant see ... and we cant even detect without the help of instruments and devices...two of which are infrared light and ultraviolet light...and the devices we use to see those werent even invented until the last 70 years or so...so i simply believe we havent invented devices to adequately detect or display those energies yet...but just kuz you cant see something...or havent...doesnt mean it doesnt exist...as for your cellphone analogy ... the energy in it simply disperses...whether it be as photons (the light of the screen) or as escaping electrons ... you said yourself you make a 'choice not to believe' which means even if you did see a ghost your brain would instantly go into denial mode in order to avoid being proven wrong or going back on your ''choice'' so no amount of proof would convince you...and that's fine...personally i know what ive seen and experienced... i also tried to analyze it logically and there really was no other explaination...kuz believe me i woulda liked one

germs were once thought of as myth...as were atoms...and until recent years if you even suggested there were particles smaller than protons and neutrons you were laughed at...now the big thing in the physics world is the higgs boson particle (basicly the quark that gives all things mass) so until a device or technology is invented that can prove ghosts do or dont exist...this debate will continue...as i know what ive seen and know what happened...and you know what you havent seen and what hasnt happened etc ...

it seems as if you took offense to my "only a fool discounts something outside their realm of experience as impossible" comment ... which wasnt the intention ... i simply meant that since you have never experienced something of that nature...well to be frank...it truely does fall outside your realm of experience...so calling it impossible or insulting the character of ppl that have experienced such things (calling them crazy or saying they imagined it) based on your lack of experience alone...is pretty closed-minded and ''foolish'' ... maybe someday you'll experience something ... maybe not ... but dont bash those who have

Edit - i'd also like to add...before my experiences...i didnt believe in ghosts either

well one theory about why temperatures drop in areas of activity ... is that matter and energy cant occupy the same space at the same time...so if they are a form of energy it's possible it's in a different (possibly opposite) spectrum of energy than what we classify as thermic ... so when they occupy a space they push the thermic energy aside in that spot and cause a sensation of ''cold'' there .. just a theory but an interesting one

Not that I do believe in ghosts really(I would be interested to encounter one) but what I think is that the ghosts are dwelling in an unknown dimension, and for some reason their dimension and ours could have coincided for maybe seconds and that's some people get lucky to notice something.. but with "haunted houses" the signs often reoccur which would make the dimension thing weird ... whatever im not gonna get into this any more

Well, I used to live in a house that I strongly believe had a spirit, a bad one, okay here are a few occurrences, Im getting shivers just thinking about it xD..

1. I was sitting on the couch playing video games, there was a shelf screwed to the wall right above me. The screws were not loose. Before I knew it, there were dvd's all over the place (from the shelf). The shelf itself fell. The screws were SIDE BY SIDE, in the HALLWAY. Crazy shit dude.

2. My aunt was watching the baby one night by herself and the tv turned off and on and the volume went really loud and all that showed on the tv was static (you know, when there's no connection and it sounds like "ALKSJDAJJAKFLJKLJKLAJKFSD", yeah it was loud)

3. My uncles friend was in the living room and he heard a VERY loud screaming coming from one of the rooms, he went into the next room and said to my uncle "did you hear that?".. He said "hear what"... crazy night that night.

4. This didnt happen only once, my cousin, who at the time was like 2 or 3, said she talked to a blue baby at night, and that it came into her room.

Im glad I moved outta that house :o
