minecraft redstone machines and devices
« on: January 27, 2012, 05:47:24 PM »
ive been messing around learning redstone stuff on minecraft recently...testing different ideas for machines and learning to build various types of circuits...ive compiled quite a few of them on this map if anyone wants to check em out...nothing too advanced but some are pretty kool or useful...or could be turned into something useful...lemme know what ya think or if ya have questions

http://www.mediafire.com/?6vgdoacggqdrb85

just extract it to your saves folder for MC

%appdata% -> .minecraft -> saves

or

c:\users\yourusername\appdata\roaming (usually)\.minecraft\saves  (if you're using windows 7 anyway idk bout other OS's)

Edit - updated link with newest version ... added a few things to make it more 'exploring friendly' ... also added a couple more machine ideas...including an automated music machine using noteblocks and a looped cart...can adjust the timing of the notes using repeaters and the notes of the noteblocks themself by right clicking them

Edit 2 - yet another update (ill prolly make lots of udates n changes..if ur interested just check back once in awhile i guess) added a newer design for the music machine...also a simple to construct single use monster trap (meaning the current gets stuck in a loop effectively ''locking'' the trap when triggered) i plan to expand upon that idea by making it where it moves the trapped creatures to a different chamber...tho as far as right now i think it'd still have to be manually reset...i also added more signs to help navigation...and a storage box with some items,tools,and redstone to allow you to make ur own stuff or modify mine

Best thing i've made is a couple elevators.
I have a dream: a dream that, one day, chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.

i would shadow but my net's so bad ... i'd do more harm than good as bad as i'd lag lol xD
yea chicken elevators are my next thing ... the obsidian machine on that map is based on a design i made awhile back b4 pistons were added...using gravel as a plug for the water...it's kinda slow going but if u build it near a lava pool u can make obsidian all you want....also i kinda like the auto-harvester i built lol

i really enjoy playing around with redstone tho since it's very similar to real electronics...havent been at it long but i learn pretty fast

Edit - thanks shit pickle lol
