Should be free mate...after all....it is only a source mod, but, given time, valve might pay them for licensing and might charge us lol...

Idk. It seems more likely that there gonna charge for it. Cause this is actually the second time they've done it. Thats part of the reason why its not called half-life source, but they charged for that mod so its pretty likely that they might charge for the newer one. Andd again like you said its a source mod so its probable that they won't charge for it.

Half-Life: Source wasn't a mod, it was a port of the original Half-Life onto the Source engine and was done by Valve. The team in charge of Black Mesa: Source (renamed to Black Mesa for legal reasons with Valve) is made by a seperate team of people not even associated with Valve. While SOME people may think it will cost money, it is a total game conversion that DOES have the permission from Valve to be done, but is not being made by Valve, hence the reason it is considered a Source Mod.

Check the Half-Life wiki, it has more info. :D

It might be ok if Valve did something to it. Like they Did with Half-life and made it source-ie-ish looking. If i do say so myself DON'T get the HD half-life Stuff on steam. It looks like something a whale puked up. Lol well that's all i have to say. It might be cool to see what everythign looks like here when it's done, but other than that not much to look at.

Quick Update... I don't know if everyone new, but they officially declared that Black Mesa: Source will be free as long as you have a source game.

not really an update, they were saying it was going to require a Source game to begin with. but thanks for posting this anyways, I'm sure there are others who might not have known this.
