ok GUYS we arent being overly negative the people saying it wont work WEVE HAD VENT NUMEROUS TIMES
it didnt work the most people i ever saw in our vent was 6 people and pretty mcuh every ACTIVE member knew about it

its just a waste of money itd be a giant minigames vent if it were to get used making it pretty much useless

the only thing i could think of it being a positive for is playing non css games like synergy borderlands w/e

and in which case itd be very useful for those of you who dont already go to seperate vents

-All I remember was using crazyshot's ventrilo. It was active with like 5 people on everyday until people just moved to the SD server when I first joined NotD. I was on like mostly everyday when I wasn't playing a different game. Then people told me people have been using SD vent server so I went there. That was like the only reason why crazyshot's notd vent server didn't work.
-It wouldn't be a waste of money if we tried it for like just one month to see how it works out and see how many players even go on it to socialize with other players.

why not just get xfire? you can host a chatroom on that, and it's easy to use. and it's also free. also comes in handy to talk with friends who don't have Steam.

xFire would just be like steam all over again. xFire=Steam, you can make chatrooms, mic chats, adding eachother as friends, etc.

Cause no one ever wants to even socialize. That's the problem there. they'll just be too bored, busy, or busy playing a game to even want to chat t yping instead of verbally chatting with eachother. the only chatrooms i see made on steam with the notd community is when we have meetings or movie nights.

Well, if Local does decide to make or move into a Ventrilo server, he should be sure to put the IP address to it wherever he can. For example: a recurring message in-game in all servers, in the MOTD, on the home page of this website....
