yep it sure is. google paintball leagues and u'll notice all types of various tournaments leagues pro leagues and the likes.

Of course Painball is a sport. Here is a off the top of my head defintion:
Sport: Anything that involves physical activity and that can be bridged to a team and an orgainization and a league such as tournaments. so paintball is a sport

They have curling on ESPN... I don't count that as a sport. :P Same goes for Bowling.

bowling IS a sport whether you beleive it or not

but by some of your deffinitions overclocking is a sport

aswell as buildign stereo systems
they both have tournaments  leagues teams adn sponsors :P
